So I’m watching the parade with my kids, and the Air Force comes up with these fun little planes, two F16s and a P51. But as somewhat of a military aviation buff, I immediately noticed something wrong with the Mustang...
Reads cowling... looks at pilot...
Hmmmmm

So much wrong is one picture. Besides the white dude in a Tuskegee “P51". The scale is comically ridiculous, the unit identification is wrong, and the potential for some guy to become a pink mist when running into the propeller.

That’s. . . Pretty bad.

Absolutely not.

That’s really cool, thanks for bringing it to my attention. Just seems disrespectful to me to put a white guy in a plane that’s supposed to represent the Airmen, at least in the context of a public outing without the story to accompany it, because there’s a ton of people out there who have no idea. Great program they have though.

OK, well this guy is going to have a hard time being especially black otherwise:
I mean you could argue it would be better optics to have this guy fly the P-51:
But there are problems with that too.
